The Lord has really been blessing us this summer. We had been in a drought for several years. Lake Meredith is about 50 miles North East of Amarillo. At one time it was at a record high of almost 102 feet and thin just two years ago it was at a record low of 26 feet. Today it is standing at 58 feet due the record amount of rain we have been receiving. In fact just the last 4 days days it has risen a foot. This is the greenest I have seen the Texas Panhandle in years. Here is a link telling about it if you are interested.

I’m so happy that you’re getting your fair share of rain at last. Here in England, we are enjoying one of the wettest summers in quite a while with temperatures outside in the daytime often reaching only 70 degrees, rather chilly to say the least. Whatever happened to global warming?

Thank you John. Yes so far this summer we have not reached 100 degrees, it has been in the 70’s and 80’s. They are forecasting 100 for tomorrow Thursday August 6th. It is in the upper 90’s today so it might just reach that 100 degrees. We sure can not complain for we have been praying for the rain so I just want to praise Him. Have a blessed day. 🙂 Jim

I am so glad to hear this, the drought out west has been horrendous, the terrible fires and water rationing, I do hope this brings relief to your region, thank you Harbin!

Thank you Gunnvor Karita. As a matter of fact we did and still are enjoying our anniversary. We will be back home tomorrow night. We Left on the 11th of August drove to Seattle WA then took a cruse to Alaska. We got back to Seattle on the 4th of Sept and now driving home. I will be posting about, I just don’t like to post while traveling, don’t want people to know I am gone. Have a blessed week coming up. 🙂 Jim
